10ka (Perfect 10)

As attendance figures at Cankarjev dom are rising, our programmes are expanding. In addition to the rich variety of genres and aesthetic quality of our programmes, the interest has increased in national and international productions that rely on text as the starting point of the show (even if eventually, at the end of the theatre-making process, there is virtually none left). And the common denominator – the script, is also the reason for formally connecting a part of our theatrical programme into the series 10ka (Perfect 10).

The creative range of the 10 performances in the 10ka series is extraordinary. It spans from tragedies, musical theatre, performance art, drama, comedy, puppet theatre, genre crossovers... It includes classical plays, dramatizations of novels, collective creations, adaptations inspired by literary texts, etc. 

Directed by world-class figures on the national and international theatre scene, the works strongly reflect their distinctive authorial approaches, excellent implementation, social relevance and great acting performances. A Perfect 10.
