Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.
The 5th Bois Noir Workshop will be held on September 18-19, 2018, at the City hotel in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The program of the workshop always features the latest research in the most widespread phytoplasma disease of grapevine – Bois Noir, from epidemiology, vectors, diversity of 'Candidatus Phytoplasma solani' strains, plant-pathogen interactions and strategies for the disease control. The meeting also provides the perfect opportunities for robust discussion, for forming many friendships and enjoying good company.
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to the capital of Slovenia. Besides its five thousand-year-long history, Forbes Magazine ranked Ljubljana the fifth most idyllic city in Europe (2009), according to a survey conducted by Reader’s Digest, it is the most honest city in the world (2008), and a Mercer survey showed it is the safest city in SE Europe (2008, 2011). And last but not least, Ljubljana was the Green capital of Europe in 2016.
Best wishes and see you all in Ljubljana next fall.
Marina Dermastia, the president of the Organizing Committee
