Writer Nataša Kramberger lives between Berlin and Jurovski Dol, a settlement in the Municipality of Sveti Jurij, Slovenia. Winner of the Prešeren Fund Award for her novel Po vsej sili živ, Kramberger’s literature creates a synergy between intimate experiences of nature and political action in a society that severs intimate bonds. Her most popular literary works are Nebesa v robidah and Primerljivi hektarji, while Brez zidu is a journalistic reportage about life in Berlin during the transition.
Urška Breznik, director of director of Maribor’s Pekarna Magdalenske mreže and art history professor and sinologist by profession, has carved out a career establishing a network of interventions in society between culture and politics.
Barbara Šurk lived and worked in Jerusalem as a correspondent for the Delo daily newspaper, as well as in Cairo, Baghdad, Damascus, and Dubai as a correspondent for the Associated Press.
