Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.
Ariel Vei Atanasovski, guitar, cello; Vasko Atanasovski, saxophone, flute
Featuring: Marko Črnčec, piano; Jošt Drašler, double bass; Marjan Stanić, drums, percussion
The event is dedicated to Liberte Toujours (MoonJune Records New York), a new album written by the young composer Ariel Vei Atanasovski. Father and son have been connected through music all their lives. The story of the family duo became even more cohesive when during the COVID-19 quarantine Ariel Vei wrote a bunch of new compositions and the decision to make an album was born!
After completing high school in Maribor and notching up many successes in classical music competitions, 19-year-old composer Ariel Vei Atanasovski is currently a student of cello at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria. He also plays the guitar, composes music and has recently played alongside his father Vasko Atanasovski, an internationally acknowledged musician and composer who has released 15 albums of original music and performed with musicians like Living Colour (USA), Hindi Zahra (F), Marc Ribot (USA), Vlatko Stefanovski (MK), Tommy Emmanuel (AUS), Michel Godard (F), Simone Zanchini (IT), Bojan Z (F) and many others around the world.
They were blowing and buzzing so much that people clapped down the street.
