Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.
Until recently, the ideas, values and causes promoted by artists around the world were perceived as utopian. Now, it seems utopian even to contemplate planning long-term international cultural events. However, in order to maintain links with the world and enrich ourselves both personally and socially with these insights there is no other alternative. The new Music of the World season thus continues the journey across several continents with a selection of today’s most exciting musicians who find inspiration in their local traditions whilst having been integrated into urban life for decades. Some draw on the legacy of the great masters of the past, others already form part of that tradition. Our selection covers a broad spectrum of musical genres, approached singularly by each artist. We are pleased to add a Slovenian project to the showcase of global creativity, which will undoubtedly astonish many a listener. Such surprising concerts build a sense of community among musical connoisseurs and loyal concertgoers.
Join us in exploring these surprising musical experiences from around the globe.
