The title of the painting holds a special charm, as it allows connection with cacti adapted to life in deserts and arid terrain, the succulent plants whose special metabolism enables them to survive for a long time without a source of life.
We remain in the intertwinement of ossified social structure and the escape into solitude, the exile of creative freedom.
