The Inbetweens is the artist’s MA project completed under mentors Prof. Marija Jenko (Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and Assoc. Prof. Rok Rappl – Rocc (Academy for Music, University of Ljubljana). The dynamic project constitutes a continuous flow of illustrated characters that appear and disappear, thus exploring or influencing the identity, perception and subconscious of the viewers. Each character embodies a fragment of an inner world fraught with unexplained disturbances, contradictory states of mind and all sorts of interpretations. The incessantly altering nature of the projected images is saturated with content; its singular completeness evokes a series of momentary experiences that emerge in a dialogue between the visible and the sensation of the visible. In the projection, we therefore recognise the dynamic relationship between consciousness and the unconscious, imagination and reality. /R. Pajek/
