In 1993, on the 30th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, photographer Arne Hodalič went to Dallas and returned with an exceptional photo reportage. He visited the scene of the assassination, searched for people who appeared in the iconic 1963 photographs, tracked down Marina Nikolayevna Oswald, the widow of Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassin of J.F. Kennedy, and visited Kennedy’s grave with her. Hodalič’s reportage ranks among the most ambitious examples of Slovenian reportage photography. His photo story featured in countless magazines, and generated most attention in France.
What are the beginnings of photo reportage? Where is the fine line between an ambitious photojournalist and an ethics-violating paparazzo?
The interview will be moderated by Ali Žerdin, the Museum of Press curator, a journalist and editor.
