The international scientific conference presents the results of the eponymous target research project, which was led by the Institute for Intercultural Studies UP FHŠ  in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, and the Slovenian Migration Institute ZRC SAZU in the year marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Branislava Sušnik.
The project’s aim was to evaluate the scientific contribution of the Slovenian researcher to South American anthropology and ethnolinguistics and to present it to the Slovenian public and community of experts. 

The international conference includes research contributions from invited guests and devotes particular attention to the scientist’s museological achievements showcased at the exhibition La Doctora: The Life and Work of a Slovenian Scientist in Paraguay on display at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum.

Papers will be delivered by Slovenian researchers involved in the TRP project (UP FHŠ, ZRC SAZU and FF UL), renowned international authorities on Dr. Branislava Sušnik’s life and work, including Adelina Pusineri, her longtime collaborator at the Andres Barbero Ethnographic Museum in Asunción, and curator Raquel Salazar, South American researchers Merilyn Renfeldt, Diego Villar and Federico Bossert, as well as Slovenian researchers and experts. 

Interpretation will be provided.

The conference takes place under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
