The well-known myth of Oedipus has achieved considerable notoriety, being reduced to the overriding themes of patricide and incest. The myth is widely promoted as a vital psychoanalytical narrative that holds the key to human desire.

The event will focus on Oedipus at Colonus, Sophocles’ sequel to Oedipus’ story that has rarely received the attention it deserves.
