Maestrini’s staging of the compelling musical drama about love between a victorious Egyptian warrior and enslaved Ethiopian princess was our ambitious collaborative venture. We take particular pride in this successful coproduction, a spectacular, comprehensive and first-rate show with outstanding vocal tour de forces. A special highlight of the restaged production will be Maribor Theatre’s entirely in-house cast of soloists, which testifies to the ensemble’s high level of artistic excellence.
