Not only the band name is martial. In their „Jazz Rock Psychedelia", the band KUHN FU of guitarist, composer and master of ceremonies, Christian Kühn, turns everything through the improvisational wolf. Zappa meets cabaret, surf sounds and metal riffs ride the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, while Shakespeare, Brecht and Monty Python are the godfathers.

KUHN FU has developed a unique and very idiosyncratic form of jazz rock ( or rock jazz ), between parody and a great seriousness with which they allude to musical blinders. The comedy that is always present in KUHN FU's music does not take away from its intensity.

2023 KUHN FU celebrated their 10th anniversary with a blast: the double album Jazz is Expensive/Live in Saalfelden and the Tantalos Nonet EP was released on Berthold Records and Tantalos was nominated for Deutsche Jazzpreis Composition of the year 2023. On October 25th 2024 they will release their sixth studio album Katastrofik Kink Machine on Berthold Records. KUHN FU has played over 400 concerts in 23 countries.

Kuhn Fu” lives up to its martial name. The multicultural jazz ensemble brings enormous energy to the stage and is at the same time a demonstration of the wonderful togetherness in music.
