In recent years, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir have performed together several times in the famous Pisa Cathedral with great success. For this occasion, the two ensembles established contact with the legendary conductor and harpsichordist Trevor Pinnock, with whom they performed Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2, among other works. The concert was so fondly remembered that there was no hesitation to arrange a repeat performance in Ljubljana, with the addition of works by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
