The season finale will weave together modernity and tradition. Conductor Davorin Mori, one of the most promising Slovenian conductors of the younger generation, will open the program with a tribute to composer Janez Matičič, who would have turned 100 the day before the concert. Rising star Luka Faulisi, a violinist of Italian-French-Serbian heritage, will shine in Tchaikovsky’s ever-thrilling Violin Concerto. The season concludes on a grand scale with Bruckner’s Symphony No. 1.
