International theatre and dance season series

Daniele Finzi Pasca:
TITIZÉ – A Venetian Dream
Production: Compagnia Finzi Pasca
Running time: The performance lasts approximately 80 minutes.
A dreamlike image reminiscent of a Fellini film evokes the magic of Venice and its Lagoon without the use of words.
La Repubblica
Compagnia Finzi Pasca’s latest production, TITIZÉ – A Venetian Dream, is a circus extravaganza. At the centre of the acrobatic show is a fictional character – Titizé, a dreamlike figure travelling through inner worlds, childhood memories, collective dreams and fantasy landscapes. The show stays true to the signature style of the Finzi Pasca theatre: clownery, physical theatre, acrobatics, magical lighting and live music. In this story, nothing is what it seems: chairs levitate, shadows dance, words become colours, and silence feels like a loud dialogue.
The show fuses tradition and innovation in a fascinating combination of clowning, the language of the body and acrobatics - which allows allusion, the creation of metaphors, and the amplification of emotions - and the use of innovative stage devices, resulting in a theatre of amazement and lightness, without the need for words. TITIZÉ invites the audiences to immerse themselves in the very essence of Venice, where the past and the present blend into one fascinating tale and the stories, scattered like seashells on the beach, each with its own beauty and mystery, are reconstructed into a precious mosaic.
The tale of the soul of Venice.
Il Messaggero
Daniele Finzi Pasca is a Swiss stage director, writer, clown and choreographer. In1983, he co-founded the company Teatro Sunil and its peculiar vision of the art of clowning, dance and acting: a theatrical technique they name the “Theatre of the Caress”. He later founded Compagnia Finzi Pasca, with which he developed a so-called "theatre of lightness" – a poetic, emotionally charged style blending circus art, dance, theatre and acrobatics. The main characteristics of his work are humanism, gentle melancholy and compassion for the vulnerable. Known for his work with major productions such as Cirque du Soleil (Corteo) and the opening ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Finzi Pasca's focus is on storytelling through body and movement, often with elements of clown acting and visual magic.
Unique atmospheres. And a captivating sense of lightness.
