Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.
Lecture by: Assist. Prof. Marija Mojca Terčelj, PhD, Faculty of Humanities Koper
The lecture focuses on the conceptions of nature in three indigenous peoples of the Americas. From their cosmological and religious perceptions, the speaker will summarize and highlight the most prominent aspects of the human-nature relationship in a particular cosmology: the human-animal relationship in the Toba and Ishir hunting communities of the Paraguayan Chaco, the human-forest relationship in the Yucatec Maya and the human-land relationship in the Quechua and Aymara peoples of the Andes.
