Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.

Making their debut in the Silver Series, Lucas and Arthur Jussen have been a regular fixture on the international concert circuit since their teenage years. The brothers embody a new generation of piano duos: dynamic, virtuosic and inspiring. They are making history as the first Dutch artists to be exclusively contracted by the renowned Deutsche Grammophon – and the yellow label refers to them as the greatest duo of all time.
The charismatic duo, with a commanding stage presence and multiple award-winning recordings, superbly accomplished either in recitals or as soloists with eminent orchestras, turn each performance into a one-off event. The programmes with which they are winning the hearts of critics and audiences alike are characteristically varied collections of contrasting compositions, juxtaposed to great effect. In Ljubljana, the pianists invite us on a musical journey from Mozart to the present day, with a visit to the long 19th century. The piece by the notable Jörg Widmann stands as a living proof that the exceptionalism of the celebrated duo is a source of inspiration for today's most prominent composers.
