Laureate of numerous international competitions, including TROMP 2010, the most renowned international competition for percussion solo, Gerassimez is as multi-faceted as the instruments he works with. His own compositions are characterized by the exploration of rhythmic and acoustic possibilities, as well as by the creation of individual sounds.

The inventive and innovative programme dedicated to the visionary, minimalist composer Philipp Glass also brings a captivating encounter between Glass and Gerassimez, to culminate in a spectacular fireworks of musical virtuosity! Comprising four world-class musicians, Gerassimez’s percussion group features Slovenian-born Simon Klavžar, University Prešeren Prize laureate and winner of the IPCL Luxembourg and Salieri-Zinetti Verona competitions.
