Often referred to as “the second Sviatoslav Richter”, Yefim Bronfman is seven-time Grammy nominee and 1997 Grammy Award winner with a prolific catalogue of recordings produced under prestigious labels (including Deutsche Grammophon and Sony Classical). The distinguished maestro has had the musical world at his fingertips since his 1975 debut with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under the illustrious Zubin Mehta. Reflecting great technical command, his performances give a strong sense of physicality while revealing hints of remarkable gracility. There are no frills, and no theatricality in his playing: his approach is about following the composer’s intentions, which has inspired the confidence of listeners in sold-out halls around the world.
