Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.
Prifarski muzikanti with friends - concert
Organized by: Kulturno društvo Prifarski muzikanti
In November, the ensemble of Prifarski muzikanti will grace the stage at the Gallus Hall of the Cankarjev dom for the sixteenth consecutive year, presenting three back-to-back concerts. The concert is titled "K sosedu v vas" (To the Neighbor in the Village), and it promises to be a unique musical experience featuring songs and special guests from neighboring countries: Hungary, Carinthia/Austria, Rezija/Italy, and, of course, their closest neighbor, Croatia. The Kolpa River at Fara is all that separates them from Croatia. While the musical guests remain a secret for now, one thing is certain: Prifarski muzikanti will enchant the audience with their timeless hits.
Since celebrating their 35th anniversary last year, the ensemble has grown to an eight-member group. Leading the Prifarski muzikanti is Martin Marinč, accompanied by his 21-year-old son Matija as the newest member. Valentin Južnič, a co-founder of the group, plays the tamburica, while father and son Tonči and Uroš Obranovič represent Fara. From Ljubljana, we have violinist Jernej Pečak and the group's most recognizable face, singer Mitja Ferenc. The annual tradition of performing at least one song from Bela krajina is thanks to Dejan Šuštar from Dragatuš.
You're invited to join the celebration—it promises to be a joyful event!
