Silver Series

Silver Series begins with Emily Pogorelc, an American soprano of Slovenian descent, whose charismatic presence has already enchanted the Gallus Hall audience at the gala concert of operatic arias. This time she is appearing with the String Quartet of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. The series continues with a tribute to cello – in cooperation with Cellofest Ljubljana and the Liszt Institute Ljubljana, we are presenting a recital by the stunning virtuoso István Várdaia. Brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen are among the most sought-after piano duos of our time. Arguably the most important Dutch ambassadors of classical music, they have taken the audiences by storm with their commanding presence, driven by fervent zeal and an almost symbiotic playing. This season's organ recital features an exceptional guest; Olivier Latry is the titular organist of the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, and famous for his brilliant, boundlessly imaginative improvisations. The charismatic Simon Trpčeski, a musician of enviable reputation and a household name among lovers of world-class pianism, is making a long-awaited return to the Silver Series. In concluding, a global vocal phenomenon and one of the world's most fascinating and versatile vocal groups: since its formation in 2005, the VOCES8 ensemble has been inspiring people with sensational concert performances that transcend genres and reach the widest and most diverse audiences.  

Subscription terms and conditions
Subscribers enjoy savings of up to 20 % off general admission tickets.
The number of season tickets is limited.
First-time subscribers are invited to take out their subscriptions from 13 June 2024.

E-Subscription ticket – No need to print it out 
Your e-subscription ticket is always at the ready on your phone. Join the many subscribers who have already opted for a digital ticket as an alternative to the plastic one. Physical subscription tickets are still available on request.

Subscribers’ benefits
Each Silver Series subscriber is entitled to an additional complimentary ticket for one of the concerts in the series. Please inform us of your preferred choice of concert by contacting vstopnice@cd-cc.si after the subscriptions have closed, and the ticket will be sent to you by email.

Golden and Silver Series subscribers enjoy a 20% discount on tickets for the Great Opera Arias – New Year’s Gala Concert (December 2024), which go on sale in September.

Short, pre-concert guided tours of the CD Gallery exhibitions will be organised for the Golden and Silver Series subscribers. Guided tours are available at a symbolic price, prior booking is necessary. Subscribers will receive further information by e-mail.

Cankarjev dom reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised programme and/or performers.

We expect to implement all the advertised concerts. We will make every endeavour to find new dates for any postponed concerts. If a subscriber finds the new date unsuitable, or Cankarjev dom is unable to provide an alternative date, the subscriber will be issued with a value card in the amount proportionate to the subscription price or refunded the purchase price.

Payment in instalments
Instalment payment is available with cards that allow for deferred payment over a predetermined repayment period.

Discount
A 5 % discount is granted to subscribers who purchase both a Golden and a Silver Series subscription.

For schools, companies and other institutions
A 10 % discount is granted for the purchase of 10 subscriptions or more.

Group non-subscription discounts are available for individual concerts.
