Arriving in good time
During the festive season in December, traffic tends to get heavily congested in Ljubljana. Visitors are advised to leave home earlier than usual to avoid arriving late.

For most events, free cloakrooms are provided in which visitors may leave their outer garments, umbrellas and luggage.
Please be informed that no umbrellas or luggage are allowed in auditoria. When cloakroom service is not available, a coat stand is installed outside the hall.
The cloakrooms are guarded. We do not assume responsibility for the articles that have been misidentified, lost or forgotten. We advise against depositing valuable articles.
Should you happen to be late, kindly wait until a short break during the first and second part of the concerts and until performances’ the main break.
Latecomers at film projections can sit in the gallery five minutes after the beginning of screening if these seats are not occupied.
The same applies to theatre performances without a break.
In any case, you are kindly requested to follow the ushers’ instructions.
Please retrieve your lost items at Cankarjev dom reception (entrance form the Prešernova street) in thirty days after the loss: after that period Cankarjev dom can no longer be held responsible for your property.
The fee for a lost cloakroom number is 2 EUR.
The Maxi passageway is closed after 23.00 (exit is only possible from the parking garage).
Please use other exits from Cankarjev dom.
On Sundays, only the exit from the Maxi passageway to Erjavčeva Street is open until 23.00 (in the direction of the Slovene National Theatre Drama).
The passageway opening hours are not within the competence of Cankarjev dom.
Please give the bouquet that you have brought for the performers to the usher before the performance.
In case of medical emergency, please contact the nearest usherette or security officer who will call an ambulance immediately.
Concerned for the safety of our visitors we have installed the automatic defibrillator in Cankarjev dom. Defibrillator is a device that performs defibrillation on the chambers of the heart and counters the onset of ventricular fibrillation. By applying a shock to the entire heart muscle, it uniformly clears the heart's electrical system, in order to stop the life threatening heart rhythm disturbances. They are now available for use by persons with minimal medical training to provide life-saving cardiac care when the emergency medical team is on the way.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Krka, d. d., for a most generous donation.
Disabled visitors are kindly requested to inform the CD reception desk P 01 24 17 100 of their arrival at least one hour prior to the event so that an escort might be provided to the space designated for wheelchairs.
Most suitable access for disabled visitors is Entrance I from Prešernova Street, where a ramp for wheelchairs has been laid. It is possible to enter CD through an automatic sliding door (width 105cm) or double folding door (width 220cm). From there, entry is enabled to the halls and other premises on the ground floor or by lift to Foyers I and II.
Entrance from Maxi passageway is through double folding door (width 190cm), which admits direct access to Foyer I over a fairly steep ramp. An accompanying person is strongly recommended.
Entrance from the Republic Square platform is stair-free and through a double folding door (width 190cm).
The ground-floor lift provides access to all foyers and halls. The door is 110cm wide (cage width 110cm, length 230cm).
Special, readily accessible spaces have been designated for disabled visitors in the auditoriums. The number of spaces is limited owing to the halls’ seating capacity:
Gallus Hall 4 spaces (circle, Entrance A2)
Linhart Hall 4 spaces (2 in upper stalls, 2 on balcony)
Kosovel Hall 4 spaces in stalls
Štih Hall 4 spaces (near the entrance)
CD Club 3 spaces
It is strongly recommended that disabled visitors are escorted by an accompanying person.
The disabled visitor’s accompanying person requires a ticket to enter an auditorium and has to book a seat. Tickets for the disabled visitors are free of charge and may be collected from the CD Box Office.
Next to the cloakroom in the Grand Reception Hall and Foyers I and II, special designated lavatories have been provided.
Hearing Impaired Visitors
An induction loop system is in use in the Linhart and Kosovel Halls as well as the CD Club.
Please switch you hearing aid to the T position prior to entering an auditorium.
Guide Dogs for the Visually Impaired People are permitted upon prior arrangement.
